Abstract

Seven patients presenting for cataract surgery were diagnosed by ultrasonography to have Unilateral Axial Myopia in the cataractous eye. Bilateral axial length measurements revealed a difference of 4.5 to 6.7 mm between the two eyes. All patients were amblyopic in the cataractous eye and ultrasonography established the correct diagnosis, preoperatively.
