Abstract

This work aims studying the influence of mass transfer during electrochemical oxidation of Methylene blue (MB) onto new Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 based electrode. The prepared Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 electrode was characterized using X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The experimental results showed that the electrochemical oxidation of Methylene blue (MB) using Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 electrode was influenced by the mode of mass transport. The use of ultrasound irradiation instead of classic stirring increases the MB removal by +51.4%.
