Abstract

This study investigated the change created in physical properties by irradiating ultrasonic waves in Portland cement grout. In previous research, the grout equipment was scaled-up and a grout circulation system was used for the experiment. The physical properties of ordinary grout materials were compared with those irradiated by ultrasonic waves to observe its effects. This was done by analyzing and comparing the viscosity, strength and granularity. The results indicate that grout irradiated by ultrasonic waves outperformed the non-irradiated grout in all categories of physical properties.
