Abstract
A Doppler sample point setting device of an ultrasonic tomograph which has a probe for applying ultrasonic waves to a subject and receiving ultrasonic echoes from the subject, a signal processing unit which drives the probe to emit ultrasonic waves, receives ultrasonic reflection echo signals received by the probe, processes the echo signals and outputs an ultrasonic tomogram, a blood flow image, and blood flow information, a display unit which displays an ultrasonic tomogram, a blood flow image, and a Doppler sample point, and a control unit which sets the position of the Doppler sample point automatically in accordance with the blood flow information.
