Abstract

Details of the temperature dependence of the attenuation of ultrasonic longitudinal waves in chromium-rich vanadium crystals are presented. The attenuation curves exhibit an oscillatory shape around the Neel temperature in contrast to the sharp peak observed in unalloyed chromium at that temperature.
