Abstract
Abstract Propagation of an ultrashort optical pulse in medium of anharmonic oscillators simulating ion crystal is analysed both analytically and numerically for pulse durations range when the slowly-varying envelope approximation is no longer valid. The effect of matter parameters on ultrashort pulse shape is discussed.
