Abstract
A novel method for conducting of polymer foams by the direct nitridation of melamine foam is presented, and the ultralight-micropore amorphous Ni-P foams were synthesized by the electrodeposition technique. It has been revealed that the resultant foams have remarkably low densities down to 50mg/cm3 and pore-size around 50μm. The compressive strength of the resultant foams is improved significantly, and the related deformation modes were also discussed.
