Abstract

By one step hydrothermal reaction, the ultrafine nanoparticles of Bi2WO6/NiWO4 were prepared with the particle size smaller than 5 nm. They dispersed very well in solution and exhibited excellent photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of Rhodamine under visible light, UV light and natural solar light respectively. Under visible light irradiation for 30 min, the model dye Rhodamine B (Rh B) nearly completely degraded. For natural solar light irradiation, only 10 min observed the complete degradation of Rh B. This provides new nanocomposites for efficient photo-driven degradation of organic dyes under visible or natural solar light irradiation.
