Abstract

The problem with the removal of textile dyes from waste waters is an important issue both from an ecological and technological point of view. Besides well known conventional methods, membrane techniques of separation are used more and more nowadays. The successful application of such a process depends on membrane type, process conditions and the behavior of the membrane under these conditions. Process effectivity can be improved by using both conventional and membrane processes.
