Abstract

The excited-state dynamics of acceptor-substituted anlhryl-thiophenes are investigated by fs-transient absorption and ps-time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. Depending on molecular structure and acceptor strength (pyridinium/pyridine) charge separation or conformational relaxation is observed.
