Abstract

An ultrafast and highly selective CO gas sensor based on rGO/Fe 3 O 4 nanocomposite with interdigitated chromium electrode has been fabricated. Device properties such as structural, morphological, optical, and electrical were analyzed and reported. A correlation between stability and performance of the device with electrical properties has been established. At room temperature, sensor shows excellent selectivity and sensitivity towards CO detection, even at lower gas concentration. Sensor gives the optimum sensing response 3.59 with 32/35 sec response/recovery time for 5 PPM CO gas concentration. The sensor has been tested for different period/interval of time and found that the proposed nanocomposite has excellent stability and reproducibility thus can be utilized for various gas sensing applications.
