Abstract

Aiming at the warning application of ultra wide-angle infrared (UWIR) imaging technology, the theory of radar threat evaluation is referred, and a UWIR multi-target threat sequencing method is put forward based on equivalent evaluation factor. Firstly, the UWIR target motion model is given, in which the target velocity is decomposed into tangential velocity and radial velocity, and it is found that the target in UWIR image can be regarded as a low-speed and small target resulting from the special non-similar imaging fashion. Secondly, aiming at the characters of aerial target infrared information, the indicators of target image gray, gray variance rate, image crossing velocity, target image position are equivalent to target distance, target radial velocity, target tangential velocity, target pitching angle, respectively, and the fuzzy membership of each equivalent evaluation factor is determined by analyzing the target imaging features. Then, in order to simplify the adjusted consistency and improve the real-time performance, the Weber -Fischner fuzzy matrix is used to modify the traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and the least square method is adopted to calculate the target threat degree. Finally, the UWIR imaging system developed by our research group is utilized to carry out the infrared multi-target threat sequencing experiment, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified. Above all, the proposed method is simple and less affected by subjective factors, and can objectively reflect the threat degree, which is helpful to commanders making the right decisions.
