Abstract

This article studies a new type of scaffold which is connected by welding and pin-plug, utilizing buckling theory of axes-pressure components to make theoretical analysis on the ultimate bearing capacity of hybrid-junction scaffold. In this paper, a double-row six-pitch three-span hybrid-junction scaffold is constructed, four buckling models and corresponding ultimate bearing capacities are thus obtained through eigenvalue buckling analysis. Moreover, influence factors of ultimate bearing capacity of this scaffold are discussed. Finally, the result is compared with the fastened-style scaffold of same size. The conclusion is drawn that the ultimate bearing capacity of this type of scaffold is better than fastened style scaffold.
