Abstract

A 36-year-old woman with a history of poorly controlled type 2 diabetes presented for a follow-up visit to the Dermatology Clinic with a 2-year history of progressive, pruritic reddish-yellow leg wounds. A 3-month course of topical betamethasone propionate 0.05% applied twice daily did not improve the wounds. Despite this appropriate treatment, localized ulcerations developed. The patient had no other constitutional symptoms.What’s your diagnosis?
