Abstract

A 45-year-old woman was referred from her general dentist to a local oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a chief symptom of a “painful growth” of the left retromolar pad. She denied any significant medical history to both her general dentist and the oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She also denied any history of alcohol or tobacco use.
