Abstract

Depending on the information of direction of arrival(DOA) and time of arrival(TOA), passive location to a moving emitter can be realized by a fixed observer. With the help of extended Kalman filter (EKF), the state of the emitter target can be estimated, but its defect is remarkable in precision and rapidity. Unscented Kalman filter(UKF) is another method to solve the problem of nonlinear system. Deduction and simulation shows that, locating and tracking the moving emitter by UKF based on DOA and TOA information, can be convergent with a high accuracy, and it performs better than EKF.
