Abstract

More than 60 cancer charities in the UK have formed a coalition to urge government action on reducing long wait times for cancer services. Despite progress in restoring services coming out of the pandemic, the National Health Service is still grappling with a backlog of recommended screenings and treatments driven by chronic workforce shortages and underinvestment in infrastructure.
