Abstract
Reakcje papieża Piusa XII na Zagładę były tematem refleksji badawczej i dyskusji od zarania badań nad Holokaustem. Kluczowym epizodem okazało się aresztowanie przez SS 16 października 1943 roku ponad tysiąc rzymskich Żydów i niemal całkowity brak reakcji papieża na ten fakt. Historiografia podkreślała ten dramat "pod jego oknami" (Under His Very Window). Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje wiele z wątków tych dyskusji oraz wskazuje na wiele czynników, które wpłynęły na postawę Piusa XII i jego reakcję.
