Abstract

Three-color photoelectric observations of the early spectral-type eclipsing binary system W Sct, made for the first time at the Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory, are reported. The light curves of W Sct are unstable and asymmetric, with a maximum after the first minimum that is brighter than the second maximum. The spread in the data exceeds the measurement errors. The observed light fluctuation are caused by physical conditions in this system. It is clear that mass transfer has played an important role in its evolution.
