He wishes TCI to be deemed a »relatively neutral tool« (Raguse, 1997, p. 30), which as such discloses an open space for encounters among diverse outlooks and religious beliefs. Inspired by experience with TCI in India, this contribution introduces the theory of the Indian-American scholar of literature Horni K. Bhabha in order to discuss the space for transreligious encounters which can be generated by a TCI group, thus examining it from a new perspective.
