Abstract
The typification of the name Verbascum boerhavii L. (Scrophulariaceae: Verbasceae) is discussed. The designation of a lectotype is based on a consultation of Linnaeus’s original material and the literature cited in the protologue. Original material conserved in the Linnaean Herbarium at the Linnean Society of London is designated as the lectotype.
