Abstract

During planning, development, implementation and deployment of an enterprise resource planning system at the PCB Manufacturing lab of University of Technology and Economics, Budapest the authors gained in depth experience about special features of ERP in PCB production and small- scale electronics manufacturing. Processes and data are different from general business models, due to the high extent of specialization and the fact that every produced PCB is individual. Thus ERP in PCB production cries out for a new process and workflow model. In this paper authors give a brief overview of this model, highlighting important features and main differences to general business and workflow models. The model, and software based upon that model has been successfully implemented, and will shortly be deployed at BUTE ETT PCB lab.
