Abstract

A survey of Brevipalpus californicus (Banks) infesting fruit orchards was conducted in all Egyptian provinces to discover the different types of B. californicus in Egypt. Samples were collected from plant foliages, fruits, buds and branches. The study disclosed on presence of two types of the flat mite, B. californicus, as first record in Egypt, and the differences between both of them were discussed.
