Abstract

This procedure combines the best aspects of some esthetic restorations and eliminates some of their drawbacks. While it involves more laboratory time for making two castings and a soldering operation, the improved occlusal stability of the completed restorations makes the technique worthwhile. A technique has been presented for making Type III or IV gold alloy restorations with a soldered porcelain-fused-to-metal facing.
