Abstract

Rationale: Type 2 diabetes is considered a common comorbidity for elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Both of COPD and type 2 diabetes are serious diseases requiring proper diagnosis and management in geriatric medicine. However, there is little evidence about the prevalence of COPD and the lung function in the elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.
