Abstract

A new nematode species, found in virgin soil around the roots of Eucalyptus trees in a Victorian forest, is described. It has a terminal bulb and a single gonad, but differs from all monodelphic genera in Tylenchinae in possessing an elongate stylet and a lip cap. To accommodate this species the genus Tylodorus is proposed.
