Abstract

It is proved that the skew-adjoint part of a two-selfadjoint operator in a Krein space with finite defect has the singleton zero spectrum. Examples demonstrate that many properties of two-selfadjoint operators in Hilbert space do not extend to Krein spaces. A full description is given ofn-selfadjoint normal operators in finite dimensional Krein spaces of defect one.
