Abstract

Explicit expressions are derived for the two-photon interband transition rate in a magnetic field. The transitions, with peaks at Δ n=0 (inter-inter) have integrated intensities with correspond to that of two-photon interband transitions. The other type of transition (inter-intra) with peaks at Δ n=± 1 has comparable or higher intensities when the energy of one of the two photons is close to the Larmor energy of either the valence or the conduction band and when the magnetic field is sufficiently large.
