Abstract

Here we present an investigation of 1s-3d and 1s-4d two-photon transitions in the He+ ion embedded in strongly-coupled plasmas. Using the ion-sphere (IS) model to represent the plasma effects, and with B-spline basis for the wave functions, we have calculated absorption coefficients for 1s-3d and 1s-4d two-photon transitions with different sizes of the ion-sphere by the pseudo-state method.
