Abstract

For each location, there are different industrial and geographic advantages that support the optimal functions of logistic activities in order to attract firms’ investment. A two-phase fuzzy evaluation approach is proposed for identifying an airport's service strategies in an international logistics system (ILS) where the corresponding ILS competitive position evaluation, the fuzzy logic that handles the integration of the subjective elements, and the various investigation perspectives are complicated. The approach is demonstrated within a real problem in an airport's logistic service strategies, and empirical results indicate that the proposed method can be used to optimally identify ILS strategies. The suggested strategies are proposed for Taoyuan airport in the development of a transportation mode of an ILS. Finally, the management implications and further research are proposed based on the research results.
