Abstract

Applying a version of the two-operator approach, the Dirichlet boundary value problem for a second-order scalar elliptic differential equation with variable coefficient and with right-hand side from \(\widetilde {H}^{-1}(\varOmega )\) is reduced to two different systems of boundary-domain integral equations (BDIEs). The equivalence of the two-operator BDIE systems to the original BVP is proved.
