Abstract

We demonstrate that the pole which is the leading singularity in momentum space of the two-point function of the two-dimensional Ising model for $T>{T}_{c}$ in a zero magnetic field ($H=0$) is shifted in the presence of a small field $H$ by an amount proportional to ${H}^{2}$. The corresponding result for Ising field theory is also obtained, a precise estimate of the shift being given in both cases.
