Abstract

METHODS: This prospective, observational study at a Level I trauma center used trained evaluators who scored team performance via the Trauma Team Performance Observation Tool (TPOT). Efficiency (minutes) data were collected for Emergency Department (ED) dwell times and time to FAST and computed tomography (CT) scan during the same time period TPOT scores were collected. Two year post training was compared to pretraining, post training, and one year post ongoing training periods. For each outcomes variable, the data were rank-transformed and analyzed using the analysis of variance. If p < 0.05, a Dunnett’s Multiple Range Test was performed.
