Abstract

In the present work, we prepared ethylene vinyl acetate@polypyrrole (EVA@PPy) composites that can be realized with electro-thermal dual driven by hot pressing and in-situ polymerization. The fabricated composites can reach a conductivity of 0.2452 ± 0.0153 S/cm and can be warmed up to more than 90 °C in 9 s under a direct current (DC) voltage of 35 V. EVA surface coating PPy layer with EVA backing has good bonding fastness, and the composites also have good dynamic stability and abrasion resistance on the basis of retaining EVA shape memory performance.
