Abstract

Two transition metal phosphonate coordination polymers [Ni3(HL)2(H2O)4]·2H2O (1, H4L = 4-F-C6H4CH2N(CH2PO3H2)2) and [Zn(H2L)H2O] (2) have been synthesized by hydrothermal methods and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Their application and nursing values on corneal disease during soft contact lenses usage was evaluated. Firstly, the levels of the inflammatory cytokines released into eye secretion was measured with ELISA detection assay. In addition to this, the activation of the inflammatory signaling pathway was also determined with RT-PCR.
