Abstract

Aneylis pulchellana (Clemens) (NEW COMBINATION) and A. lamiana (Clemens) (NEW COMBINATION) are conspecific with and predate A. comptana fragariac (Walsh & Riley) by 4 years. A. pulchellana has priority. These newly discovered identities are based on one authentic specimen of pulchellana and the lectotypes of lamiana and fragariae. Applicability of the European name A. comptana, (Froelich) to American populations needs reconfirmation. Reassigning pulchellana and lamiana to Ancylis reduces taxonomic confusion in Anchylopera.
