Abstract
Two applications of prefabricated strain gauge devices are described. One is a prefabricated device which was originally developed to overcome some of the difficulties experienced by workers bonding strain gauges underground. The other is a high elongation gauge consisting of a wire strain gauge affixed to a flexible rubber backing, capable of measuring strains of the order of 10-20%.
