Abstract
A previously proposed one-electron model for photoionization, referred to as extended asymptotic model [J. Mol. Struct. (Teochem)166, 369 (1988)], is further developed to cope with two-photon ionization processes. A simple application of the approach to the case of the negative ion H− is investigated and discussed.
