Abstract

This paper presents an optimization analysis of a two-phase flow mixture of a gaseous phase and an incompressible condensed phase through a converging-diverging nozzle used for industrial cleansing applications. The analysis is based on maximizing the liquid water momentum flux for a host of mixture parameters that include the liquid mass injection ratio, liquid and gas properties, nozzle size, and nozzle stagnation-to-back pressure ratios.
