Abstract

The triplet of τ = 1, 0 + two-particle states in the lead region such that the state τ z = 1 is 210Pb(g.s.) are analysed. It is found that these three states have the same pairing-collective features. However, the states with τ z ≠ 1 are built upon high-lying single-particle configurations. They can be considered pairing giant resonances. The pairing giant resonance states are found to be strongly excited in two-particle transfer reactions.
