Abstract
Two phytophagous pest insect species were reared in the laboratory from field-collected material. The native “gregarious tineid” Hierodoris atychioides (= Heliostibes atychioides) was found to be the host of several primary parasitoids, including 3 undescribed endemic species (Campoplex sp., Aucklandella sp. and Goniozus sp., new records). The complex was dominated by the introduced parasitoids Trigonospila brevifacies and Xanthopimpla rhopaloceros (new record). The introduced cottony cushion scale Icerya purchasi was found to be the host of 2 primary parasitoids (Cryptochetum iceryae and Tetracnemoidea brevicornis, new record) and 2 hyperparasitoids (Coccidoctonus dubius and Euryischia Plestophoni, both new records).
