Abstract

Two novel taxane diterpenoids were isolated from the seeds of the Chinese yew, Taxus mairei, and their structures were established as 2α,20-dihydroxy-9α, 10β-diacetoxy-taxa-4,11-diene-13-one (1) and 2-deacetyl taxinine (2) on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. 1 was considered as one of the important intermediates in the biogenesis of taxoids.
