Abstract

Employing a rigid 6-(3-pyridyl)isophthalic acid (H2PIAD) linker, two novel coordination polymers (CPs), [Mn(PIAD)]n (1) and [Pb(HPIAD)(NO3)]n (2) were synthesized and characterized. The hybrid of Ag nanoparticles (NPs) with compound 1 (Ag@1) was further modified onto electrode for the detection of glucose. The results demonstrated that Ag@1 possessed high sensitivity (0.156 μA μM−1 cm−2) and low detection limit (1.6 μM) towards glucose sensing in the range of 5–3500 μM. With the significant electrochemical performance, this work promotes the proposed strategy for CPs-based hybrid composites as sensing application.
