Abstract

This paper gives a brief notice and transcription of two fragments discovered as binder’s waste of an unrecorded manuscript of the Old French chanson de geste Renaut de Montauban. Paleographical analysis places this manuscript in the middle or second half of the thirteenth century. Its shelfmark is Kalamazoo, Western Michigan University Library, MS 191.
