Abstract
Two new species of bothid flatfish, Citharichthys amblybregmatus and C. gymnorhinus, are described. Both species display marked sexual dimorphism similar to that reported for C. cornutus. Male secondary sex characters include cephalic spination, wide interorbital space, and elongate pectoral fin ray. The new species are compared with each other and with C. cornutus and C. dinoceros. A key to all Citharichthys species of the western Atlantic is included.
