Abstract
Two new species of Werneckia, W. africana , n. sp. and W. nigeriensis , n. sp., are described and illustrated. They were collected from four-striped squirrels, Funisciurus lemniscatus and F. isabella , trapped in Nigeria. Additionally, a key to these new species as well as to W. minuta and W. paraxeri is given.
