Abstract
Two new species, Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) harrisoni and L. (L.) andrei , collected from black, plates in secondary forest, Chiang Mai Province, North Thailand, are described and illustrated. Both species were positive for Rickettsia tsutsugamushi and are suspected vectors of scrub typhus to man in northern Thailand.
