Abstract

Illustrated descriptions are given of two new species of free-living nematodes of the genus Dorylaimoides found in small fresh waterbodies of Vietnam. D. curvicaudatus sp. n. is morphologically similar to D. singaporensis Ahmad, Mushtaq, 2004 and D. elongatus Husain, Khan, 1968, but it has a shorter tail, longer basal widening of pharynx, different length of female prerectum, and longer spicules in males. Morphologically, D. vietnamicus sp. n. is close to D. leptidus Timm, 1964 and D. elaboratus Siddigi, 1965 but differs from both of them by a shorter odontostyle, the size of its spicules, and a smaller number of supplements in males.
