Abstract

Illustrated descriptions are given of two species of free-living nematodes new to science, Arctidorylaimus parvulus and Eudorylaimus sedatus, found in the littoral zone of southwestern Lake Baikal. A. parvulus, sp. n., differs from A. kurenkovi Gagarin, 2002, in its shorter body, absence of longitudinal cuticular ridges, shorter spicules, smaller number of precloacal supplements, and relatively short prerectum. E. sedates sp. n. is morphologically similar to E. spongiophilus Batalova, 1983, but smaller, has shorter odontostyle and odontophore, and longer tail and prerectum. An identification key to the valid species of the genus Arctidorylaimus is given.
