Abstract

Dorsipes limnocarabi n. sp. and D. yezoensis n. sp. are described from Carabus (Limnocarabus) clathratus aquatilis Bates and Carabus (Carabus) granulatus yezoensis Bates (Coleoptera: Carabidae) from Japan. These are the first records of Dorsipes in Japan. The new species and 2 additional species of Dorsipes in the subgroup Dorsipes are compared with each other and species in the subgroups Inflatus and Platysmae.
